Abstract

"In this essay, I explore problems of the relation between writing and reading in contemporary Chinese lyric poetry, especially as these two notions impinge on the idea of an “experimental poetry” (实验诗) and on the function of the reader in the work of two poets, Zhou Yaping (周亚平, 1961- ) and Che Qianzi (车前子, 1963- )."
