This article is an exemplar of arts-based educational research that uses ekphrastic poetics as a vehicle for critically storytelling. Ekphrastic poetics is an art form dating back to Classical Greece that involves an act of poetic response to a visual form. Ekphrastic poetics is conceptualized as a curriculum and aesthetic text as poet Kelly Young responds to visual artist Mahshid Farhoudi-Di Marco’s series of paintings through interpretive practices. Interpretive practices involve building relationships with the visual forms through among other things, conditioned writing activities.Downloads
