David Kirshner is professor of mathematics education at Louisiana State University. His research interests include the psychology of algebraic symbol skills, and the relations of pedagogical practice to psychological theory.

Stephen Lerman

Stephen Lerman is professor of mathematics education and Deputy Director of the Centre for Educational Research in the Department of Education at London South Bank University. His research interests focus on the social turn in pedagogical theory and learning theory.

Thomas E. Ricks
