A message from the new Co-Editors, Dr. Sandra Rollings-Magnusson and Dr. Barb Heather
We would like to thank Dr. Peter Puplampu for managing and editing the journal over the last few years. He did a wonderful job handling incoming submissions and arranging with OJS for the online publication of accepted papers and book reviews. We would also like to extend our gratitude to David Fischer who managed (and continues to manage) the Canadian Journal of Family and Youth website.
In addition, we would also like to express our gratitude to those members who agreed to continue on as Associate Editors for another term and to Dr. Tami Bereska who agreed to be our Book Review Editor. We also welcome all of our new members who agreed to sit on the Editorial Board.
With regard to direction of the journal, Dr. Barb Heather and I, in consultation with other members of the editorial board, are promoting and emphasizing the reach of the journal by encouraging the submission of papers from any discipline relating to any aspect of family and youth. We hope that this approach will promote further research into these subject areas and encourage academics, including graduate and undergraduate students, to submit their work for possible publication.
As a final note, we are happy to announce that our first co-edited issue which will appear in the Spring of 2011. If you wish to become involved with the journal, or have any suggestions or ideas that you would like to propose, please email either one of us. We look forward to hearing from you.
Dr. Sandra Rollings-Magnusson
