    - Given the multidisciplinary nature of the journal, authors should avoid the use of jargon and any technical terms relevant only to their own discipline

    - Manuscripts may be written in English or French

    - Authors should also ensure that any of their comments made in their manuscript are not racist, homophobic, diablist, or sexist.

  • Authors should use the Times New Roman font when submitting their paper.

The text of the manuscript should follow the APA citation format. There are a number of excellent websites available that provide examples of the APA style. For instance, see the Purdue Online Writing Lab at https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/general_format.html

If authors have any questions regarding style, please email the editor at Magnussons@macewan.ca
  • The Review Process:

All submitted manuscripts will be refereed by at least two anonymous reviewers.  If there is a disagreement between the two reviewers, a third reviewer will be sought for additional comments.

A double-blind (anonymous) system will be in place so that reviewers who receive a paper will not be aware of who has written the paper and authors who receiver reviewer comments will not know who reviewed their work.

Typically, reviewers are given six to eight weeks to review the paper and send their comments to the Editors.

Authors should be aware that there are different outcomes with regard to the review process: 1) the manuscript may be approved as is and be sent forward for publication; 2) the manuscript may be accepted with revisions required; 3) the manuscript may require substantial revisions and resubmission; and 4) the manuscript is not approved for publication.

If there are no identifiable problems with the paper, it is likely that the paper will be published within nine month’s time, however if there are revisions and so on to be made, the time frame may be longer than nine months before publication.
