In fact, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees estimates that in 2011 there were 43.7 million forcibly displaced persons reaching a worldwide record. In France, more than 57 thousand persons applied for protection to the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons. Somalis are among the refugee groups on the rise in France due to the humanitarian, political and security crises that shook their country. Numerous studies have been conducted in the context of the reception of refugees in France and the weakening of the right to asylum.
