Devenir (écrivain), identité virtuelle - Une lecture de Le Prince Ehtejab de Houchang Golchiri
One of the fundamental principles of the Nouveau Roman, also called the "New Autobiography", is the rejection of the traditional concepts of presence, continuity and consistency. This autobiography is representative of the "origins of the novel" before it was the "novel of origins" and of a forum for exchanging literary ideas. i would be dealing then with both a monological and dialectical aesthetics. Such writing tackles the issue of narrative function. Through his commitment to writing, loneliness, relationships, life patterns and self-presentation, the writer alternates between the status of author and that of reader thereby defining his identity. Far from being homogeneous, this identity has many dimensions, even contradictory ones. Golchiri writes his first novel, The Prince Ehtejab, to describe his coming literary debut. Questions about the impossible foundations of all activity literary/artistic are delineated behind his creation. What is he telling us about himself and his particular situation as well as about questions in contemporary literature asks itself and that it must confront in order to exist?
